Jack Jackson is a Toronto-based, award-winning photographer known for creating dynamic, bold, and deeply personal portraits of dogs — and the people who love them.
His sessions are designed for those who see their dog as everything: family, soulmate, sidekick. Jack transforms that connection into striking artwork that captures not just a dog’s personality, but the powerful bond they share with their person.
At the heart of everything Jack does is his beloved dog, Jet, who passed away very suddenly in January. Jet wasn’t just a dog — she was family and the inspiration behind his client work and creative projects. Every session Jack shoots is, in many ways, a continuation of that love story.
Jack is also the founder of Rescued by Love (formerly Don’t You Want Me), the acclaimed international photography project documenting the transformative relationships between LGBTQ+ people and their rescue dogs. His work has toured across Canada and been widely featured in the media. Alongside his private and commercial commissions, Jack is currently developing a documentary.
When Jack isn’t behind the camera, you’ll likely find him tucked into a seat at the documentary theatre — always seeking new stories to tell.
It’s time to tell your dog’s story.
Your dog. Your hero. Your heART.
